Human-Environment Regional Observatory (HERO) Program

The Human-Environment Regional Observatory (HERO) Program provides faculty-led research opportunities for undergraduate students to analyze the causes and consequences of global environmental changes at local scales. The HERO program satisfies the first of Clark University’s three signatures—Learn Through Inquiry—by providing year-long research opportunities for Clark students. The program also provides a service to the broader researcher and stakeholder communities by increasing the quantity and availability of data on key human-environment relationships and environmental issues in Massachusetts.
