The Henry David Thoreau Foundation was founded in 1998 by
George M. Galvin and John W. Hoffman. The foundation is governed by the Board of Trustees and has a Scholarship Selection Committee. Our team offers broad experience in environmental science, education, public health, business, and university administration.
